We are dedicated to making our community and the communities we work in a better place!  We engage fully in the community by routinely participating in and subsidizing community projects. Our focus on donations revolves around community beautification and environmental education efforts.  Aside from being involved in the community on many levels with time and treasure, here are some of the larger projects and causes we directly spearheaded, assisted with, and/or donated to:



  • Donated a full scale 2d and 3d master plan for FHS campus plan and outdoor classroom space.


  • Donated a full scale 2d and 3d master plan for FCHS outdoor classroom space.
  • Donation of native plants to Salato’s Mary Cooper garden.


  • October Drainage solution for Franklin Co. Human Society flooding issues.
  • Spring Donating a Butterfly Garden and Monarch Waystation landscape installation, proceeds from raffle benefited Woods and Waters Land Trust.


  • December Donations to The Progeria Research Foundation and Woods & Waters Land Trust in our client’s names as a Christmas gift.
  • November Pruned shrubs at the Franklin County Women’s Shelter.
  • October Donated native plant and pollinator garden design to Hearn Elementary.
  • August Performed drainage services for the Franklin County Women’s Shelter.
  • April Donated design to the Franklin County Farmers Market for kids play area.
  • February Donated a 1.75″ Overcup Oak to Capital Day School.


  • December Donations to Woods & Waters Land Trust and Josephine Sculpture Park in our client’s names as a Christmas gift.
  • September Landscape install at Buck Run Baptist Church.
  • April Donated maintenance services to client who had recently lost her son and husband.


  • December Donations to The Sunshine Center and Franklin County Womens’s Shelter in our client’s names as a Christmas gift.


  • September Donated a landscape and hardscape design as well as time and materials to revamp a Lexington backyard for local man suffering from a terminal brain tumor for his wife and young son to enjoy and remember him by.
  • May Donated pollinator perennials to Capital Day School.
  • PLANET Day of Service, IOD completed the Good Shepherd School outdoor classroom where we mulched all trees with the classrooms from each grade, installed a rock bed edging, filled three raised beds with compost and topsoil and planted a native pollinator garden with the 1st grade class.


  • May Designed and assisted volunteers with installation of two pollinator gardens for outdoor classrooms for Franklin County Public Schools with Go Frankfort!
  • PLANET Day of Service, IOD installed drainage at the Red Cross building in Frankfort.
  • PLANET Day of Service, IOD donated assistance in the Versailles Road/Lyons Drive oak tree cleanup with the help of Woodland Tree Care.
  • PLANET Day of Service, IOD designed, installed and donated materials for a backyard renovation with the Haas family.  Partnered with several of our vendors and contractors to make so much possible!  Raised beds for growing food for Sylvie (with the help of KB Construction), a variety of edibles planted, tree removals (by Woodland Tree Care), a Japanese garden planted, pavers added to patio to reduce tracking from Sylvie’s wheelchair.


  • July Donated design and partial install of “Plant It Pink Garden” in honor of garden club members affected by breast cancer.
  • May Assisted Go Frankfort! by donating materials and installing a garden at “A New Leash On Life,” an architectural salvage and thrift non-profit store, which benefits the Franklin County Humane Society.
  • Several designs donated to benefit public and private schools (auctioned to help raise money for the school or specific program)


  • In November 2011, a design was donated for the Baby Rye Community Garden, as well as assisted Go Frankfort! by installing an arbor at Baby Rye Community Garden.
  • PLANET Day of Service, IOD donated their time and equipment to help students of Frankfort High School plant trees as needed.  Andrea had also helped the students throughout the selection process since they lost three mature oaks.
  • PLANET Day of Service, IOD donated assistance in refurbishing planters on Second Street, on an ignored and often neglected end of the street. We donated labor to add perennials and native grasses to spruce up this community area.
  • With the help of friends in Spring 2011, we did a “while you were out” healing garden for a friend with cancer.
  • Several designs donated to benefit public and private schools (auctioned to help raise money for the school or specific program)


  • Fall 2010, Inside Out Design donated labor and materials (with the help of Monrovia) to remove the existing worn out landscaping and install the design which was also donated at the main intersection of US 60 and Lafayette Hill.  We took great time and care watering and maintaining the installation for the initial six months, and also assisted the state in maintaining the garden throughout 2011.
  • Four designs for different areas around town for the Frankfort Beautification Committee in preparation for the Equestrian Games, including redesign of the Old Governor’s Mansion, a rain garden at Wilkinson Street median, a tree planting on Wilkinson Street, and the Lafayette triangle.
  • Several designs donated to benefit public and private schools (auctioned to help raise money for the school or specific program).
  • Second Sunday, a nationwide event to teach children about physical education, nature and health.  By provided seeds and pots for many species of flowers, trees, and shrubs, we taught many children and young adults about growing and the importance of nature.


  • Coordinated with Second Street School (independent public school) art teacher and donated a hummibgbird/butterfly garden design, as well as helped and directed students planting the garden on Earth Day 2009.
  • Developed a master landscape and garden plan for Frankfort High School (donated) 2008.
  • Woodford County Humane Society Freedom Fest room designer 2009.
  • Woodford County Humane Society nook and table designer 2008.
  • “Park”ing space during Candlelight Tour, Frankfort 2008-2010.
