One of the more meaningful and memorable projects we have installed is this memorial for Charles “Buddy” Lewis. The family farm was his favorite place to be where he had built several ponds and preserved a lot of natural habitat. The design was meant to fit in with the natural surroundings and “hug” the visitors. Two levels of seating are provided for adults and children alike with a solid fill of equisetum behind the wall and a pink dogwood to cast shade on the space. The pavers and walls were designed so that the central focus is the sundial urn which carries his ashes, which provides family and friends a place of solitude and remembrance.
