Native Public Garden
Investors Heritage was an empty lot from the removal of an old liquor store and came with significant drainage issues. The owners, Harry Waterfield and family, wanted to create a native garden with a water feature which would be open to the public and employees. The design includes over 30 species of native trees, grasses, shrubs and wildflowers, all of which are labeled in the garden and provide year-round interest. A simple stone sculpture that weaves throughout the garden was designed and installed by Inside Out Design. A pondless water feature was created out of varying shape and size limestone boulders and includes many sitting boulders throughout the circular paths. Berms were created for interest and a mini rain garden was created at the back corner of the garden to help with drainage. Lighting was added to bring the garden to life at night.
