A pool, a pavilion, pavers, and waterfall – what more could you need to have a nice relaxing day? The 18’x36’ pool features 3 waterfalls out of a stepped wall with columns on each end. The 10” wide by 30” long pavers and the brick detail accent the border and tie into the brick of the home, while keeping the design airy to match the interior. Inside, the home is light, open and airy with whites, creams and tans on walls, kitchen and furniture, contrasted by dark floors. The pavilion also plays off of these color details with a dark stained bead board ceiling (to match the interiors floors) and the white columns add the clean pop against the mature trees in the background.
The home’s architectural details drove the design – symmetry, materials, and the curved window arch was exactly replicated in the bed edge below as well as in the arches of the pavilion. The curves at the ends of the pool add interest and also play off of the curves of the window details. Brick and large slab pavers add a touch of elegance and craftsmanship to the pool deck. Hidden drainage on the pool deck and as well as hidden access for the cover keep the design simple and clean. Brick walkways and slab walkways help break up the design, yet create a cohesive look.
Plantings include white blooming native smooth hydrangea, dwarf buttonbush, dwarf inkberry, switchgrasses, and beardtongue as well as allspice/sweetshrub, sedge, and dwarf Japanese cedar. White blooms and evergreens create a classic, fresh feel to match the interior and exterior of this beautiful home.
